NCHCA Frozen Genetics Sale Information
Deadline: Entry deadline will be February 25, 2024, or until filled. Please download and complete sale entry form and agreement below and submit your application and photos electronically HERE. Those consigning semen or embryos will need to provide photos and/or videos of the cattle for the sale website. Commission levels are 2.5% for all semen and embryo lots on the Frozen Genetics Sale.
Entries: Semen entries may include AHCA registered semen that has passed a freeze/thaw test at an accredited semen collection facility. A semen test report is required with entry for all semen with no exceptions. Embryo lots must be frozen grade 1 or grade 2 embryos from AHCA registered parents. The sale committee reserves the right to accept or reject all entries and use its discretion to pick the final lots.
Entry Fees: A membership to the NCHCA is required for entry. The cost per entry is $50 for current NCHCA Members. Entry fees will be treated as advance sale expense and are non-refundable. The last bid received via the online sale constitutes the basis for the commission charge, which is in addition to the entry fee. Lots that are sold will be charged 2.5% commission. Lots that do not meet the reserve set by the seller will be charged 2.5% of the last bid placed on the animal. Any lots withdrawn after March 9, 2024, will be assessed a $100 cancellation fee, in addition to the entry fee they already paid.
Internet Auction: NCHCA will be providing a Live Internet Auction for the Frozen Genetics Sale, using the services of Integrity Livestock Sales. Consigners are encouraged to submit photos and/or videos of consigned lots by February 25th electronically (click HERE to upload). These photos will be used to advertise your lots.
Shipping: Buyers must take possession of lots within 60 days of the close of the auction and are responsible for all shipping and handling costs. If you would like to offer to keep your lots for a longer period of time, you need to work out any additional cost or arrangements with the buyer.
We encourage your prompt entries. If you have any questions, contact any committee member.
